An Exhibition to Celebrate the Spirit & Diversity
of “Our Hall, Our Community”
You are invited to participate in this exciting new project, Deviot Inspired.
This art show at the Deviot Hall is to be held in conjunction with the
ArtEntwine Festival in October. (See www.artentwine.com)
•Are you passionate about Art? Or does it make you smile?
•Would you like to share your favourite piece of art with others?
•Would you like to support and inspire your local community?
This will be an art exhibition with a difference. We aim to display a diverse
range of art, borrowed from individuals from our local community.
We urge you to select a painting, sculpture, photo, print, ceramic or textile
that has a special significance to you.
Please submit a short text (20-150 words) outlining your connection with the
artwork, including the artist’s name, date and your reasons for the choice.
Details:
• Insurance - All pieces will be covered by Insurance while at the Hall.
(If the value of your artwork exceeds $2000, please indicate so on the entry
form).
• All filled out entry forms need to be returned by Sunday, 23 September.
• Artworks need to be delivered to the Deviot Hall on Friday, 12 Oct.,
between 8-10 am. (If necessary call 63947145 for an alternative time.)
• Exhibition times: Saturday 13 Oct and Sunday 14 Oct, 10 am - 4 pm.
• Official opening Saturday 2pm, guest speaker to be confirmed.
• The exhibition will be supervised at all times, including through the night.
• Visitors will be encouraged to vote for a Peoples’ Choice Award, and the
winner will be ?announced on Sunday afternoon. ?
