The Year in Review
It’s been a busy and
successful year.
During the year we participated
in & completed the following:
. Erected a new deck and installed French doors on the
northern side of the hall thanks to Bruce
Crerar & his band of volunteers.
. Organised and celebrated a tennis tournament to celebrate
100 years since the first official
tennis tournament played at Deviot.
. Celebrated with a period luncheon 200 years since
Governor Lachlan Macquarie landed on the
West Tamar.
. Had a successful & highly attended Christmas
function at the hall.
. Organised 2 successful and well attended seasonal
markets.
. Installed a new playground with thanks to the Tasmanian
Community Fund & West Tamar Council.
. Had our second progressive garage sale which will now
become an annual fundraising event.
. Completed plantings in the orchard.
Our thanks to the efforts
of all volunteers & members who made this possible.
Let’s keep the momentum
going into 2012/13!

Working Bee Saturday & Sunday 4th & 5th
August
You
may have heard we are participating in the West Tamar Arts Group celebration of
halls in the West Tamar
Region in October. Part of the deal is Dulux has donated paint to all of the halls to spruce them up for the event. We applied for paint & accessories to paint the inside of the hall and we plan to do this on the first weekend in August. We will need 6-8 volunteers on Saturday to clean, patch & sand the ceiling & half the walls and on Sunday we will need the same number to apply 2 coats. If you can commit yourself to helping with this exercise, please let me know. I look forward to an overwhelming response!!
